You don't need to know a language to write something in it. I don't know the language that lord of the rings dude made, but my boyfriend is obsessed with lord of the rings, so in the card I gave him for valentines day one year I wrote "I love you" in that language. Of course, he didn't know what it said, and I had no proof besides the book that it actually said that, but he still loved it.
